NEWPORT, Ore. (AP) — The Coast Guard says two small pleasure boats collided off the Oregon coast, injuring three of the six people aboard and leaving the vessels entangled.
The Thursday afternoon crash left the bow of one vessel pinned underneath the stern of the other off Newport, Ore.
The three boaters on one vessel were injured and the Coast Guard transferred them to medics on shore. The three aboard the other boat were unhurt. They were taken to shore.
Coast Guard crews later separated the boats and towed them to a marina.
