The Fishermen used a stifling defense to pull away to a comfortable 1A Trico League win Friday in Ilwaco.
“Besides the first three minutes of the game, the defense was there all night long,” Fishermen coach Ned Bittner said.
Cindy Pacheco led Ilwaco (7-3, 5-3 in league) with 14 points, while Jasmine Coffin added 12.
