OSLO, Norway (AP) — Three-time Olympic champion Marit Bjoergen has recovered from an irregular heartbeat and is expected to return to cross-country events next month.

The 32-year old skier was briefly hospitalized last week after experiencing an irregular heart rhythm following training. Norway’s ski federation announced she wouldn’t compete on Saturday in the Tour de Ski in Oberhof, Germany.

Team doctor Dag Lunder told Norwegian news agency NTB on Friday that all the test results for Bjoergen came back normal. He says she’s expected to return to competition on Jan. 12 at the World Cup event in Liberec, Czech Republic.
