NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Josh Davis scored 23 points, making 11 of 14 shots, as Tulane took control in the second half to pull away from Texas-Pan American 76-49 Wednesday night.
The Green Wave (8-3) shot 66.7 percent (16 of 24) in the second half. The victory, part of the Tulane Classic, was their 17th straight at home against nonconference opponents.
The Broncs (4-8) trailed 30-24 at the half and were within 36-32 after a jumper by Justin Leathers with 14:32 remaining. But Davis scored the next seven points, starting a 14-0 Tulane run.
Davis got 19 of his points in the second half. He also finished with eight rebounds, sharing the team lead with Trevante Drye, as Tulane outrebounded the Broncs 42-21.
