NEW YORK (AP) — A person familiar with the negotiations tells The Associated Press that reliever Mike Adams and the Philadelphia Phillies have agreed to a $12 million, two-year contract.
The deal includes an option for 2015 that could become guaranteed and would make the deal worth $18 million to $18.5 million, depending on appearances.
Adams will take a physical next week before the deal can be finalized, the person said Saturday, speaking on condition of anonymity because the agreement was not complete.
