HOUSTON (AP) — The Houston Dynamo say forward Calen Carr suffered a torn ACL in his left knee in the MLS championship game against the LA Galaxy over the weekend.
The team announced the severity of Saturday’s injury late Wednesday. Carr is expected to have surgery in several weeks and then a potential date for his return to the field will be set.
Carr, 30, scored the opening goal in Saturday’s game after setting a career-high with four regular-season goals. The Berkeley, Calif. native had career-highs in starts (17) and minutes played (1,512) during the season.
