SEATTLE (AP) — Some people on the University of Washington campus in Seattle would like to ban a student game called Humans Versus Zombies Tag.
A professor and a campus employee told KING they were alarmed when they saw one student dressed in combat fatigues and carrying a toy rifle in the fourth floor window of a building.
The players have a registered student group on campus, and game overseer Sean Mack says anyone playing inside a building was violating rules. Play occurs outside between classes. Players are distinguished by wearing bright orange or green bandannas. Weapons are bright-colored Nerf or Nerf-like toy blasters.
More than 400 students signed up recently to play the week-long game in which zombies try to tag humans and humans try to survive.
