NEW YORK (AP) — Inherit the Gold beat Spa City Fever by three lengths Wednesday in the $60,000 Mr. International Stakes for New York-breds at snowy and showery Aqueduct.
With more snow expected overnight, Aqueduct has canceled the Thursday card.
A gray 5-year-old gelding trained by James Hooper, Inherit the Gold extended his winning streak to three in his stakes debut. Eddie Castro was aboard for the one mile, 70 yards in 1:42.97 on the track rated fast.
Inherit the Gold paid $5.70, $3.30 and $2.40. Spa City Fever returned $9.80 and $5.50. Saginaw paid $2.90 to show.
