It Tiz takes Megahertz Stakes at Santa Anita

ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) — It Tiz beat Lilly Fa Pootz by a half-length to win the $79,150 Megahertz Stakes at Santa Anita on Sunday.

Ridden by David Flores for trainer Mark Glatt, It Tiz sat fourth for most of the turf mile for fillies and mares, moved up to third at the top of the stretch and took the lead from Lilly Fa Pootz in the final yards to win in 1:34.83.

It Tiz paid $18, $6.40 and $4.60. Lilly Fa Pootz paid $3.40 and $2.80. Burg Berg paid $3.40 to show.

The favorite, Eclair de Lune, had a slow start, was last for much of the race and had to rally for fourth.

A Kentucky-bred daughter of Tiznow, It Tiz earned $47,490 for the win, her fifth in 14 career starts, for a lifetime total of $259,295.
