Rain and wind on tap in Clark County

Stop me if you’ve heard this: The National Weather Service predicts rain, wind and a mid-50s high.

To be precise, the mercury in Vancouver should climb to 54 degrees. Showers will be tough to avoid no matter when you step outside. Wind gusts may get as high as 29 mph.

Here’s the forecast for the long weekend:

Friday: Rain, mainly before 4pm. High near 53. South wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Friday Night: Rain likely, mainly after 10pm. Cloudy, with a low around 46. South southeast wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Saturday: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 51. South wind between 3 and 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Saturday Night: Rain. Low around 45. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Sunday: Rain. High near 52. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Sunday Night: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a low around 43.

M.L.King Day: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 50.

Monday Night: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a low around 42.
