Today’s morning commute could be as tricky as weather forecasting: Snow flurries and freezing rain are likely before 10 a.m.

Meteorologists with National Weather Service were predicting up to a foot of snow Tuesday evening but the forecast has been revised with readings showing the storm is likely to pass to the north of the Vancouver-Portland metro area.

Meteorologists expect no more than a half-inch of snow to fall Tuesday afternoon, and then possibly another inch Tuesday night before it turns to freezing rain.

As for today, it will be sunny and cold. The forecast calls for a 37-degree high.
