Democratic leader: Cool the political rhetoric

WASHINGTON (AP) — The No. 2 Senate Democrat is calling on lawmakers and the media to tone down the political language in the wake of a congresswoman’s shooting in Arizona.

Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn., is warning against blaming political groups for the attack.
