SEATTLE (AP) — The King County Sheriff’s Office says it’s investigating the apparent drowning of a man southeast of Vashon Island.

Investigators say the man, in his mid-60s, lived on his 30-foot sailboat. The boat was moored to a buoy in Quartermaster Harbor, where the man’s body was found Saturday.

A friend of the victim was visiting him Saturday morning when he found the man tangled in the rope of an inflatable boat near a marina.
