The Parks Foundation of Clark County announced Tuesday that Tidewater and Waste Connections will match all donations made in support of the Parks Foundation’s 2012 Community Grant Award program through the end of the year.

Money raised through this matching donation campaign will directly support the parks, trails and recreation programs of Clark County.

“Our donors love knowing their gift will be matched dollar for dollar and go twice as far in supporting the needs of our community’s park programs. It really ups the ante,” said Executive Director Cheri Martin.

Also, Riverview Community Bank donated $6,000.

“As a sponsor of the foundation’s grant program, we have seen firsthand the value of the programs and projects the foundation’s dollars support,” said Scott Miller, senior vice president of marketing for Riverview.

The Parks and Recreation Foundation of Vancouver and Clark County was established in 1999 to accept and administer donations, gifts and bequests.

All donations to the foundation are tax-deductible.
