Central Arkansas tops Southeast Missouri St. 88-72

CONWAY, Ark. (AP) — LaQuentin Miles and Jarvis Garner scored 16 points each to lead Central Arkansas to an 88-72 victory against Southeast Missouri State on Monday night.

Jordan Harks added 11 points for the Bears (4-3).

Tyler Stone scored 30 points and Leon Powell had 26 points and 19 rebounds for the Redhawks (4-5). Southeast Missouri State had 18 turnovers, which Central Arkansas converted into 24 points.

The Bears’ bench players outscored their Redhawks counterparts 50-7.

Chris Henson’s 3-pointer with 13:19 remaining began a 14-0 run for Central Arkansas that gave it a 66-50 lead. Southeast Missouri State clawed back within seven, but 13 straight points by the Bears over a 3:04 stretch made the score 80-60.
