MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) — No. 17 Kansas State, playing without three starters, got huge games from Jamar Samuels and Wally Judge to dominate North Florida 100-76 on Friday.
Samuels had 26 points while Judge added 22, both season highs, for the Wildcats (11-3).
Parker Smith hit seven 3-pointers and scored 25 points to lead North Florida (4-9).
Kansas State was without leading scorers Jacob Pullen and Curtis Kelly due to suspensions for violating NCAA rules by receiving impermissible benefits in the form of clothing at a local department store. Starting center Freddy Asprilla missed the game due to illness.
The Wildcats’ offense did not suffer, though.
Kansas State made nine of its first 10 shots and led 24-10 in less than 5 minutes. The lead was 57-41 at halftime, the first time Kansas State scored at least 50 points in a half this season. Samuels had 17 first-half points, already a season high.
