BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) — One man has been killed and two family members injured in a stabbing at a home near Bellingham.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office says a 13-year-old girl called 911 at about 6:20 a.m. Tuesday and said she had been cut or stabbed. Four family members were home at the time.
Investigators say the dead man was apparently the girl’s grandfather. His wife was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Another man was arrested. Police say he ran from the scene and was later captured by Bellingham police dogs.
