MURRAY, Ky. (AP) — Isaiah Canaan hit five 3-pointers and scored 19 points to lead Murray State to a 69-60 victory over Western Kentucky on Saturday night.
B.J. Jenkins scored nine points and had 10 assists as the Racers (7-4) extended the nation’s fifth-longest home winning streak to 23 games, including a 4-0 mark this season.
Murray State led for all but the first 28 seconds of the second half, but couldn’t pull away. Western Kentucky (5-6) twice cut the lead to four and then moved to within 65-60 on Juan Pattillo’s jumper with 1:16 to play.
Jeffery McClain countered with an offensive rebound and layup with 43 seconds left and Jenkins closed the scoring with two free throws with 26 seconds left.
