RENTON, Wash. (AP) — Wide receivers Mike Williams and Ben Obomanu won’t practice early this week for the Seattle Seahawks, but both hope to play Sunday at San Francisco.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Wednesday morning that Williams is no longer in a walking boot for the sprained ankle he suffered last Sunday against Carolina.

But Williams wasn’t practicing Wednesday and will be monitored as the week progresses.

Obomanu suffered a severe laceration on his right hand while taking a hard hit across the middle against the Panthers. He also will be tested later in the week.

Defensive tackle Colin Cole is expected to return this week after missing the past five games with a high-ankle sprain. Carroll said he’s not counting on injured guard Chester Pitts to be back this week.
