SEATTLE (AP) — A woman accused of shooting her landlord and setting fire to her bedroom in a boarding house south of Seattle has been charged with assault and arson.

The King County prosecutor’s office says 51-year-old Ayanna Shamari will be arraigned Wednesday.

The 59-year-old landlord was wounded in the head and abdomen in the Nov. 24 shooting at Skyway. Firefighters limited property damage to one bedroom.

Shamari surrendered Friday and is held on $2 million bail.
