This independent clinic in Vancouver has gained a reputation for helping people who have not found pain relief elsewhere and have been told they have to learn to live with the pain. Many treatments are covered by most major insurances while others are cash pay procedures or therapies. You can call Pain Relief Partners to schedule a free consultation to learn more about treatment options and recommendations for your specific condition. Several of the treatments offered at the clinic are outlined below.

TRIGGER POINT INJECTIONS

Did you know that trigger point injections can help with pain from muscle knots, stress-related muscle tension, and old injuries? Recently we have seen several patients who have had persistent pain for decades, and we have been able to help them find relief from their symptoms with this insurance covered treatment. These injections are done using local anesthetic to help relieve pain, increase blood flow to the tissue, and help the muscles be more relaxed. Because we use local anesthetic instead of steroids, you can have treatment when you are in pain instead of waiting for months between injections. It only takes a few minutes to perform this treatment, and most patients typically feel significant relief in the first 1-4 visits.

ZONE TECHNIQUE

The Zone Technique is used to identify imbalances in the body that may contribute to your pain. There are six Zones: Glandular, Elimination, Neurological, Digestion, Musculoskeletal, and Circulatory. Treatment of a specific Zone improves function in that body system helping with a variety of symptoms, increasing communication between the nervous system and the body, and improving overall wellness by working with your body’s innate ability to heal. If the Neurological Zone is the tender Zone at the time of treatment, Dr. Kessinger uses a small handheld tool to treat at the levels of the spine that correlate with the Neurological Zone. In this case, patients may see improvement in mood, eye/ear function, a balancing of hormones, and more. Treatment of the Circulatory Zone may cause benefit in headache/migraine symptoms, palpations, arrythmias, circulation, and improvement of blood flow to hands and feet. If the Elimination Zone is treated, the patient may see improvement in the function of their sinuses, lungs, kidneys, and bowels.

The fascinating thing about this treatment is that your body indicates which Zone needs treatment, and this can differ from visit to visit. At your appointment, Dr. Kessinger will feel along the back of the skull to determine which of the Zones needs treatment. After treatment, he reassesses the Zones for an improvement in tenderness to the Zone that was treated. This unique chiropractic treatment is covered by most major insurances.

REGENERATIVE MEDICINE

Regenerative Medicine is a tissue or product that helps the body repair, reconstruct, replace, or supplement the cells or tissues of the recipient. We use Wharton’s jelly from donated umbilical cords for our Regenerative Medicine procedures. This tissue contains several components found naturally in the umbilical cord: cytokines, growth factors, hyaluronic acid, proteins, and mesenchymal stem cells. These components play various roles treating inflammation, increasing blood flow, and supporting the growth of various tissues, and come from the youngest ethically available source for Regenerative Medicine treatments.

Pain Relief Partners is one of the few clinics with the honor of using a Wharton’s jelly product called Signature Cord from Dr. Neil Riordan’s lab in Texas. Dr. Riordan is a pioneer in the field of Regenerative Medicine and has published 70 articles, written a New York Time’s best-selling book about Regenerative Medicine, and founded the Stem Cell Institute in Panama. Since May 2019, we have been using Signature Cord and have seen outstanding results for our patients.

MILD HYPERBARIC OXYGEN THERAPY

Many of our patients use the hyperbaric chamber for symptoms associated with chronic pain including fatigue, muscle aches, generalized pain, nerve pain, and brain fog. Injured tissue requires more oxygen to function and survive than healthy tissue does. Using this therapy increases the amount of oxygen available to your body, and this helps your tissue function as it should. Additionally, the increase in oxygen can also help fight off infection and stimulate the release of stem cells and growth factors that are already present in your body. Some of our patients use this therapy several times a week for overall wellness.
