Approximately 300 participants laced up their shoes to run or walk the inagural Scary Run along the Washougal Dike. The event was organized by Why Racing, and attendees were encouraged to dress in costume. Plans are already in the works for next year's event, which will also include a half marathon. Overall winners in the 5k were David Thacker (18.11), and Brittany White (19:24). The 10k winners were David Engstrom (35:12) and Stephanie Spiak (46:31).
