Liberty Tax Service and 7-Eleven hosted a joint New Year’s party and food drive at a Vancouver 7-Eleven location on Jan. 14. There was free food and drinks, a bounce house, games and raffle prizes. They collected 450 pounds of food and donated it to Clark County Food Bank. Read story

Innovative Services NW received a $1,000 grant from OnPoint Community Credit Union for its Pediatric Therapy Assessment/Evaluation Update Project. The Community Foundation for Southwest Washington awarded a total of $476,620 in scholarships to more than 200 students enrolled in classes during the 2016-2017 academic year. Washington State University Extension’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education was at Ellsworth Elementary School for its Harvest of the Month campaign. Columbia Bank’s second Warm Hearts Winter Drive brought in $209,335.96 and 8,410 items for 54 homeless shelters throughout the Northwest, including $2,135 for Share House raised locally in Clark County.
