A 24-year-old man who allegedly caused a head-on collision in Vancouver while fleeing authorities from Cowlitz County made a first appearance in Clark County Superior Court on Monday. Read story

A wildfire was reported on Aug. 17, approximately 7.5 miles past Dougan Falls in west Skamania County. As of Friday, it had burned approximately 60 acres and is 30 percent contained. Some mop-up operations are underway, according to DNR Spokeswoman Nancy Marvin.
