First-graders walk back to their classrooms after enjoying a meal of green eggs and ham at Marrion Elementary School on Tuesday morning in Vancouver. The school kicked off Read Across America week with a colorful breakfast, donated by Beaches Restaurant & Bar, in honor of Dr. Seuss’ beloved children’s books. Beaches owner Mark Matthias and a team of volunteers have been feeding green eggs and ham to students for 23 years.
