Austin wears a new jersey from his grandfather, Jim Fich, and holds a toy hockey stick as he cheers on the Winterhawks in Portland, Ore., on March 16. When Austin’s mother Tabitha was a child, she, her parents and her siblings were regulars at Portland Winterhawks family nights. The family tradition was brought alive again for Austin's third birthday and he fell in love with the sport. “He just loves watching them skate,” Tabitha said.
