The city is discussing annexing into Fire District 3 instead of continuing to contract with the agency, which would potentially give Fire District 3 more say over fire service in the city. Chief Scott Sorenson said the district is looking at two locations for building a new fire station, since the one on Southwest First Avenue is too cramped and in a bad location to serve the city’s growth.
