Two people died Tuesday afternoon after a Jeep tore through Sandy Swimming Hole Park in Washougal.

A Washougal man who allegedly drove his Jeep through a local swimming hole, striking and killing two people who were lying on the beach, is scheduled to appear this morning in Clark County Superior Court on suspicion of vehicular homicide. Read story

Frank Green, Washington State Department of Transportation assistant regional administrator for development and delivery, and another WSDOT employee examine the mangled remains of a WSDOT pickup during a safety and construction briefing Tuesday morning. The pickup was destroyed in a March 19 road work-zone crash on state Highway 3 in Northwest Washington.
