The parents of Andrew Harig, who was killed by an allegedly intoxicated driver near Vancouver Mall in August, said Monday at an annual remembrance for homicide victims that the event made them feel as if their son was still alive. Read story

Vancouver firefighters responded at 9:37 a.m. to 12817 N.E. 14th St., for a report of a residential fire. Firefighters could see a column of smoke while they were en route, according to the Vancouver Fire Department. A resident suffered non life-threatening injuries but declined to be taken to a hospital.
