Despite plenty of clouds we managed to cruise into the mid-70s Wednesday as of 4 p.m., which was better than anticipated. There were a few dark clouds around to our north and east and some rain was reported near Woodland and in the foothills. Read story

A 15-year-old Battle Ground girl died Friday when the pickup she was driving went off a logging road and plunged down a steep hillside east of Woodland, according to the Cowlitz County Sheriff's Office. Read story
