A 16-year-old boy was taken into custody in Camas on Saturday in connection with the armed carjacking of an elderly woman in Vancouver, according to the Vancouver Police Department. Read story

"I don't want to set the expectation that if a camp is being cleared that it will never set up again in a particular location, because that likely won't be the case, because we still don't have enough shelter space for people," said Jamie Spinelli. Until enough shelter space is available, the city of Vancouver's Homeless Assistance Response Team will focus on keeping camps smaller and cleaner. Camps will no longer be allowed to block streets or sidewalks.
