The Ridgefield City Council will host a town hall public forum to introduce two candidates for City Council Position 6, Rian Davis and Darcy Rourk.

The forum is 6-7 p.m. Thursday at the Columbia Assembly Room at the Ridgefield Administrative and Civic Center, 510 Pioneer St.

The position became vacant after Jennifer Lindsay resigned Aug. 23.

The city council accepted applications, which included a questionnaire, letter of interest and a resume, between Aug. 23 and Sept. 11.

The city council must appoint someone to fill the vacancy within 90 days, according to state law. The appointee’s term will expire in 2025.

Questions may be submitted online at www.RidgefieldRoundtable.org. The deadline to submit questions is 4:30 p.m. Monday.
