For the second consecutive week, Southern Oregon football beat a top-10 NAIA opponent.

For the second week in a row, players from Clark County played key roles in the victory.

Blake Asciutto threw two touchdown passes as the Red Raiders knocked off No. 4 Montana Western 28-26 on Saturday. The senior from Camas High School completed 14 of 20 passes for 180 yards and no interceptions.

Asciutto has taken remarkable care of the ball through four games, throwing just one interception in 97 pass attempts. He has completed 66 percent of his passes for an average of 240.7 yards per game and eight touchdowns.

Two of Asciutto’s completions Saturday went to tight end Jeremiah Faulstick, a Hockinson High grad who totaled 26 receiving yards.

Ayden Denbo, a true freshman linebacker from Mountain View, made his second appearance of the season and recorded one tackle.

Southern Oregon (4-0) knocked off No. 9 College of Idaho the previous week. The No. 14 Red Raiders get another tough test next Saturday when they travel to face No. 10 Montana Tech in Butte.
