West Linn (Ore.) scored on each of its first five possessions and handed Skyview its most lopsided defeat since 2007 in an interstate clash Friday.
The Lions, led by longtime former Camas head coach Jon Eagle, overwhelmed the Storm with a pair of two-play touchdown drives to open the game — a 70-yard touchdown pass from Baird Gilroy to Danny Wideman, followed by a 13-yard Viggo Anderson rushing touchdown.
Gilroy completed 15-of-23 passes for 237 yards and three touchdowns, two of which went to Wyatt Smiley (four catches, 73 yards) during a first half West Linn led 35-0 by halftime.
Skyview’s Gavin Packer started at quarterback in place of starter Doogie Poindexter, who suffered an ankle injury in last week’s win over Puyallup and did not dress for Friday’s game.
Packer rushed for a team-high 60 yards, while Rex Allinger added 55 yards on the ground. West Linn held Skyview to 43 passing yards.
