Letter: Reject Initiative 2117

By Jean M. Avery, Vancouver

What do 450 organizations and tribal nations in Washington have in common? They all are opposed to Initiative 2117, which would cut funding for clean water and air, wildfire prevention, transportation, Native communities, farmers, salmon recovery and assistance for low-income households.

Don’t be fooled by the other ads. I-2117 would add costly burdens for communities and families.

As the no-on-2117 campaign urges: “Protejamos nuestras inversiones en aire y agua, bosques y tierras agrícolas, empleos y transporte.”

Vote no on I-2117.
