Letter: Nonprofit article is illuminating

I read the story about nonprofits (“Clark County nonprofits balance transparency with trust,” The Columbian, Sept. 21). The chart that showed the salaries of the directors was very interesting. It showed me two things. Calling a hospital a nonprofit is really folly. A CEO earning $3 million? Also to see the director of an agency that is a food bank earning almost $200,000 per year was a revelation to me.
