Prep highlights: Taylor Lies hits walk-off homer as Skyview slowpitch softball stays unbeaten

Taylor Lies smashed a three-run walk-off home run in the bottom of the eighth inning as Skyview slowpitch softball beat Union 8-5 in a clash of unbeaten teams Tuesday.

Lies also hit an inside-the-park homer in the sixth inning that tied the game 5-5. She went 3 for 4 with four RBI, including a double that kicked off a three-run first inning.

Madi Johnson, Nivayah Henry and Camille Muehalbauer each had two hits and an RBI for Skyview. The Storm improved to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in Class 4A Greater St. Helens League play.

Union leadoff hitter Sophia Tumelty went 3 for 4  with a double and two runs scored. Bailey Gleich, Sophia Rickard and Victoria Ross had multiple hits for the Titans (5-1, 2-1).

Stars of the day

Broden Toney, Mark Morris boys golf, shot 1-under 34 at Mint Valley to earn medalist honors in a victory over Ridgefield.

Gracie Jacoby, Prairie volleyball, had 12 kills, 4 blocks, 14 assists and 9 digs as the Falcons remained unbeaten with a three-set win over Union.

Paige Hanes, Ridgefield volleyball, had a team-high 10 kills as the Spudders swept Woodland.

Alyssa Gregory, Ridgefield girls soccer, had a goal and an assist in a 6-0 win over Mark Morris.

Sophia Gourley, Columbia River volleyball, had 22 kills, four aces and three digs in a 3-0 win over R.A. Long.

Billie Ross, La Center volleyball, played her first match after early-season injury and recorded 14 kills, 10 digs and two blocks in a 3-0 win over Stevenson.

Teaghan Irvin, Mountain View girls soccer, had five goals and two assists in a 9-1 win over Heritage.

Shaylie Haig, King’s Way Christian girls soccer, had three goals and two assists in an 8-0 win over Castle Rock.

Karsyn Ross, Kelso girls soccer, had two unassisted goals (one a corner, one a free kick) to lead Kelso to a 2-0 win over Prairie in 3A GSHL opener.

Makayla Hundt, Columbia River girls soccer, with two goals and one assist in an 8-0 win over Woodland.

Lilah Chase, Seton Catholic girls soccer, had three goals and an assist in a 6-0 win over Kalama.

Natalie Weinmaster, Fort Vancouver girls soccer, had 10 saves in goal in a 3-1 win over Columbia-White Salmon.

Mason Acker, Washougal boys golf, shot a 1-under-par 33 at Fairway Village in a win over Hockinson.

Luke Potter, Columbia River boys golf, shot a even-par 35 at Lewis River in a win over Woodland.

Mae Otoupal, Columbia River girls cross country, was the overall winner (21:05) in a three-way meet against Washougal and Woodland.

Jacob McManus, Columbia River boys cross country, was the overall winner (16:24) in a three-way meet with Washougal and Woodland.
