Ella Thompson had 29 kills and Kendall Mairs added 41 assists to lead the Camas volleyball team to a thrilling five-set victory over Columbia River in a non-league match on Monday.
The Papermakers won 22-25, 25-18, 25-19, 24-26, 15-12.
Thompson added 10 digs, one ace and one block, while Mairs also had 21 digs, seven kills, five blocks and three aces.
Emma Sanchez added 28 digs, and Quinn Pedersen had 11 kills.
Sydney Dreves led Columbia River with 24 kills and 18 digs, while Sophia Gourley had 22 kills and nine digs for Columbia River.
River slowpitch rallies
Hailee Corona doubled home two runs in the top of the seventh to tie the game, then Ava Pratoussy doubled home Corona for the go-ahead run as the Columbia River slowpitch softball scored four runs in the seventh to beat R.A. Long 17-16 in Longview.
Corona finished 4 for 5 with two doubles, three runs and three RBI.
Stevie Jones went 5 for 5 with five runs, a double, triple, home runs and four RBI for R.A. Long.
