Letter: Reject Initiative 2117

By Don Steinke, VANCOUVER

Clark County could lose more than $500 million for clean energy projects if Initiative 2117 passes.

I-2117 seeks to repeal the billion-dollar revenue stream earmarked for wildfire prevention, electric school buses, shore power for ships and street safety projects so that kids can walk safely to school.

Initiative 2117 would cut planned funding for the interstate bridge replacement. I-2117 would guarantee more wildfire smoke, more diesel pollution, and more traffic congestion.

We need more power and it needs to be clean. I-2117 would lead to power shortages.

Vote o on Initiative 2117. We can’t afford it.
