Clark County’s Composter Recycler program is offering a series of free in-person and online workshops about composting and sustainable living strategies. The series will teach participants how to reduce their impact on the planet through composting, green cleaning, recycling, food waste prevention and low-waste living.

Workshops offered this fall include backyard composting, red worm composting, lasagna composting, bokashi and other indoor composting; green cleaning, recycling done right and preventing food waste.

Classes are typically from 7-8 p.m. or 6:30-8 p.m. on Wednesdays throughout October and November. Dates, times and class descriptions are available at clarkcountycomposts.org/classes-and-workshops/current-offerings. Preregistration is required for all workshops.

The Composter Recycler program is also offering free hands-on learning opportunities from 10-11:30 a.m. on Oct. 11 at Heritage Farm, 1919 N.E. 78th St., Vancouver; Nov. 6 at the Center for Agriculture, Science and Environmental Education, 11104 N.E. 149th St., Brush Prairie; and Nov. 16 at Heritage Farm, 1919 N.E. 78th St., Vancouver.

Participants will receive a confirmation email after successful registration. Zoom links will be sent out to registrants closer to the virtual workshop date. Recordings of previous workshops are also available on the Composter Recycler website.
