Vancouver Mall came alive with creativity, color and community Saturday as participants of all ages packed the popular shopping center during Couve Con Chapter 3.
This was the third time the mall has hosted the family-friendly event, which featured artists, exhibits, industry leaders and a cosplay competition. In addition, actors Peter Facinelli, who played Dr. Carlisle Cullen in the “Twilight” movie saga, and Aimee Garcia of “Lucifer” and “Dexter” fame were on hand in the celebrity guest room to greet fans and pose for photos with those holding an all-access badge.
This year’s event also featured an interactive Wonka Factory room in celebration of the classic movie for those with the Couve Con badge.
Robert Durante of Red Shoe Productions, who was dressed as an Oompa Loompa in the Wonka Factory room, said he enjoyed taking part in the festivities.
“It was nice to see so many people out and about, expressing themselves with their costumes,” he said.
