CASCADE PARK — Celebrating Community Week was held Sept. 9-14 and featured collaborative projects among several local service clubs. Volunteers gathered at the 78th Street Heritage Farm three times during the week to help harvest and clean vegetables for distribution through the Clark County Food Bank. Five members from Cascade Park Kiwanis and a representative of the Salmon Creek Lions Club gleaned and packed carrots along with the guidance of Mikayla McGarvey, a new AmeriCorps volunteer. Although they didn’t succeed in staying clean, everyone had a great time!
