KALAMA–Aiden Brown ran for four touchdowns and accounted for all of his team’s scoring output as Kalama built a 30-0 lead and hung on to defeat King’s Way Christian 30-20 on Friday at Chinook Stadium.
The Chinooks put together a 22-0 first half advantage behind three Brown touchdown runs while forcing four turnovers and extended that lead to 30-0 early in the second half on another Brown score.
But King’s Way made it very interesting in the second half, rattling off three straight touchdowns. The second score was the highlight, as quarterback Owen Paulsen rolled right and fired a strike to the boxing-out Sam Somarakis for a 27-yard touchdown on 4th-and-14.
The 20-0 run was as far as King’s Way got, and the Chinooks hung on to remain undefeated.
