The Vancouver Police Department, in partnership with Crime Stoppers of Oregon, is seeking assistance from the public in identifying stabbing suspects from an assault last month.

About 11 p.m. Aug. 2, a 50-year-old man was walking his service dog in a field on the Wy’east Middle School campus when three teen boys attacked him, stabbing him multiple times in his back and torso, according to a Crime Stoppers news release.

His service dog was not injured, but the man was taken to a hospital for immediate treatment and is still recovering from his injuries, according to the news release.

Police ask anyone with information about the incident to submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers of Oregon, which offers cash rewards of up to $2,500 for information that leads to an arrest in any unsolved felony crime.

Secure and anonymous tips can be left at www.crimestoppersoforegon.com or download the app P3 Tips.
