JC Chasez is delivering something spooky — just in time for Halloween: his first new project in 20 years.

Due out Oct. 25, the NSYNC crooner’s comeback is a 16-track concept album about Frankenstein, titled “Playing With Fire.”

The album’s songwriter, Jimmy Harry, was inspired by the work of his late mother, playwright Barbara Field, who adapted Mary Shelley’s Gothic horror novel for the stage.

“The reimagining of the classic tale constructs a conversation between Frankenstein and his creation, The Creature, at the grave of Frankenstein’s wife, Elizabeth, ten years after her death,” an official synopsis describes. “Through dynamic interplay of dialogue and shared flashbacks of key events in both their lives, the concept album plunges into the heart of their intertwined destinies.”

“Playing with Fire,” which incorporates both pop and classical elements, includes songs titled “I Found Death at the University” and “Build Me Someone to Love.” Singer Cardamon Rozzi and “The Voice” alum Lily Elise are also featured.

“This is the beginning of a journey to make something that will hopefully end up on a stage that people can sing live every night and communicate to audiences,” Chasez told Billboard.

The 48-year-old, who achieved chart-topping success in the late 1990s with NSYNC, released his first and only solo album, “Schizophrenic,” in 2004.

The platinum-selling boy band — which includes Justin Timberlake, Chris Kirkpatrick, Lance Bass and Joey Fatone — went their separate ways in 2002.

In 2023, they reunited on the song “Better Place,” featured in “Trolls Band Together,” the latest film in the “Trolls” franchise, which also starred Timberlake.
