LONGVIEW — A motorcyclist was fatally struck by a truck on North Pacific Highway in La Center on Tuesday.
According to Clark-Cowlitz Fire District Chief John Nohr, the collision occurred near the area of Northwest Pacific Highway and Northwest Griffith Road in La Center, an eight-minute drive from Woodland’s Horseshoe Lake.
A Facebook post on the Clark-Cowlitz Fire District page says two fire engines arrived almost at the same time and began treating the motorcyclist.
Nohr told The Daily News that the motorcyclist, who died at the scene, had lost a leg in the collision, launching a search of the area for the missing limb.
Woodland Police Department, Ridgefield Police Department, American Medical Response, and Clark County Sheriff’s Office responded to the crash.
