Motorcyclist killed in collision early Saturday in Battle Ground

A motorcyclist was killed and another seriously injured in a collision early Saturday morning in Battle Ground, the city of Battle Ground reported.

The incident occurred around 12:36 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Southeast Eaton Boulevard and Southeast 17th Avenue.

According to police, preliminary details indicated that one of the motorcyclists turned in front of the other, leading to the collision.

One motorcyclist died as result of injuries sustained in the collision, while the other was transported to the hospital with “significant” injuries.

The identities of the motorcyclists were not released. It is unknown if speed or other factors contributed to the crash. An investigation is ongoing.

It was the first fatal traffic accident within the city of Battle Ground in 2024.
