The latest movie from Pixar Animation Studios tops the DVD releases for the week of Sept. 10.

“Inside Out 2”: In this sequel, a box-office smash, the emotions in young Riley’s head have to contend with puberty, which brings a new cast of complex characters to headquarters: Anxiety, Envy, Ennui and Embarrassment.

“The plot of ‘Inside Out 2’ is essentially ‘Riley has a panic attack at hockey camp,’ but of course there’s so much more going on internally, which is the real story of the film,” writes Tribune News Service critic Katie Walsh in her review. “Once again, Joy has to go on a journey through Riley’s brain, this time to save her sense of self; once again, Joy has to learn that Riley has to experience and navigate every emotion, including these new, thornier ones, in order to be a whole person.”
