Dancing and drums

Clark College welcomes the community to its annual powwow, “Educating for the Seventh Generation,” from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday. The free celebration of Indigenous cultures is in the Gaiser Student Center on the main campus, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, in Vancouver. It features music, dance, food and vendors. Doors open at 5 p.m.; grand entry begins at 6 p.m. All dancers are welcome; drummers are by invitation. “Educating for the Seventh Generation” references our responsibility to teach future generations to maintain resources, traditions and customs. Get directions and maps at www.clark.edu/maps or make a donation at give.clarkcollegefoundation.org. Learn more at clark.edu/campus-life/arts-events/powwow.
