Letter: Immigration is global issue

I am stunned that so many voters ignore the obvious: Immigration is a worldwide issue, not an American issue.

Immigrants have been flooding into Europe, and if you’ve paid attention, Sweden and Germany have finally declared that they simply cannot accommodate any more of these poor folks who’ve been fleeing from a horrendous life. Hungary has been turning them away, as has France and most of the European continent. And yet we whine about our own immigrant crisis? How stupid are we? This is an international crisis that needs international solutions.

Punishing the innocents fleeing from oppression is an inadequate and superficial response to this humanitarian crisis. While Kamala Harris still doesn’t seem to understand this worldwide trauma, Donald Trump offers no solutions. Vote Harris, and pray that she can help in what is a truly planetary crisis.
